Meet the Team
Halftime Dogs is owned by two world champions: Jonathan Offi, who performs the large majority of our shows, and Todd Murnan. Between them they handle every booking from first email to game day.
Behind them is a roster of world champions and record holders all over North America. That means when you call us about a date, the answer is usually yes.
We’ve performed at football, basketball, baseball, soccer, rugby, and equestrian events, plus corporate events, school assemblies, state fairs, and festivals across North America. We tailor the show to the time you have, the size of your performance area, and your flooring or turf. Setup is basically just us, our dogs, and a handful of frisbees. We are fully insured, $2M occurrence limit / $4M aggregate.
Jonathan Offi
Co-Owner and Lead Performer
Jonathan performs the large majority of Halftime Dogs shows himself.
He started playing frisbee with pit bulls he’d rescued from shelters. He now trains and performs with a pack of rescue dogs who work sold-out arenas and stadiums across the country, and he trained every one of them himself. He and his Belgian Malinois Athena are 2016 world champions.
Jonathan has appeared with his dogs on the Late Show with David Letterman, Pit Bulls and Parolees, and the World Dog Awards, and toured with the Incredible Dogs Show.
He also runs Canines in the Clouds, a larger touring production built for state fairs, festivals, and multi-day events. He is based in the St. Louis area.
Todd Murnan
Co-Owner, Booking and Operations
Todd founded Halftime Dogs in 2013. He and Jonathan share booking and operations – quotes, contracts, insurance certificates, logistics, and game-day coordination. Whichever one of them you’re talking to, you’re talking to an owner.
He knows what he’s booking because he spent years doing it. Todd and his Belgian Malinois Bella won the Ashley Whippet World Championship in 2009, and he toured internationally with the Incredible Dogs Show from 2010 to 2013. He was on the Purina Pro Plan Performance Team from 2012 to 2016 and is the former captain of Team Hero for Hero Disc USA.

Other Halftime Dogs Performers
Every Halftime Dogs performer is a world qualifier, world champion, or record holder in canine disc. We compete and judge at the highest levels of the sport.
Having several teams rather than one act is deliberate. A halftime show is a promise you make to thousands of people, and a single-performer act has no fallback if someone gets sick or snowed in. We do. It also means we can take your date when other shows have to turn it down, and because we’re spread across the country, there’s a good chance somebody is already going to be near you – which is where our best pricing comes from.
There is no B-team.
Chris Knapp and Kyra Mandas
Chris and Kyra perform together and are both long-distance competitors. Chris won Men’s Far Out at the 2024 AKC Disc Dog Challenge on ESPN2 and throws in the 90-yard range on game day. Kyra throws in the 70s. That makes them our go-to team for football, soccer, and any field where a long bomb is the centerpiece of the show. Based in southern Illinois and Milwaukee.
Gary Duke
Gary started disc dogging in 2005 with his Australian Shepherd, Bayer. He’s known for his throwing arm and his trademark move, the Vertical Joyride. Gary and Eurie the Wonder Dog set our longest catch at a live sporting event, 92 yards, at Stetson University in 2021. Gary still competes in distance and consistently clears 100 yards. Based in the Tampa Bay area.
Kirby McIlveen
Kirby has won 42 world championships and 8 national championships in canine disc, and is a two-time Purina Incredible Dog Challenge national champion in freestyle flying disc.
Her dogs have performed halftime and pregame for the NFL Chargers, the San Francisco 49ers, the Golden State Warriors, the NWSL’s OL Reign and San Diego Wave, and the WNBA’s LA Sparks, and appeared on The Gong Show. Based in Southern California.
Dove Cresswell
Dove is a professional animal trainer for film and television, with credits including Once Upon a Time, A Million Little Things, Marmaduke, and X-Files 2. She judges and competes in flying disc, dock diving, agility, and rally obedience, with national and international titles including gold medals at the UKI Classic Cup and a place on World Agility Organization Team Canada. She’s based in Vancouver.
